Our goal is to make receiving podiatric care as straightforward as possible. Patient’s may either request a traditional private cash-pay visit or inquire about our free Community Care program
Private Home Podiatry in Central Florida
For patients who would simply like podiatric care in their home, private cash-pay visits are available.
There is no insurance billing.
Before scheduling, we will discuss the nature of the visit, service area, and applicable fees so that you understand the expected cost.
Your visit remains a traditional private patient experience.
No-Cost Care Through Our Educational Program
Our Community Care Program was created for individuals who may have difficulty obtaining podiatric care because of financial barriers. We are particularly interested in filling a gap that exists in the community for those who have been unable to seek podiatric care for months or years due to financial circumstances.
Some patients may have the opportunity to receive a home podiatry visit at no cost by voluntarily participating in our educational video program. During these visits, portions of the examination and treatment may be recorded. Those recordings may then be edited into educational videos explaining foot conditions, podiatric treatment, preventive care, and the challenges faced by people who have difficulty accessing traditional healthcare. The videos may be published on platforms such as YouTube and may generate revenue. That revenue helps support our ability to continue providing Community Care visits to others who need them.
Understanding the Community Care Program
We want patients and families to understand exactly what the program is—and what it is not. Participation in the educational program is voluntary. Before any recording takes place, the nature of the recording and its intended public use will be explained, and appropriate written permission will be obtained. The Community Care Program provides limited no-cost podiatric visits based on availability. Participation in one visit does not guarantee ongoing or recurring free podiatric care.
Many foot conditions require continued treatment over time. When we believe additional care will be necessary, we will discuss that with the patient or caregiver and can provide information about potential community, insurance-based, or home-care resources that may be helpful. Our practice does not provide comprehensive social-work or care-coordination services, but we want patients to understand what type of follow-up care may be needed. By keeping the program limited, we hope to continue making it available to new people in the community who may have had little or no access to podiatric care.
Patients may also request another Community Care visit in the future. Because availability is limited and we want to reach people throughout the community, future no-cost appointments cannot be guaranteed.
What to Expect
A typical home visit begins with a conversation about the patient's concerns and relevant medical history. The podiatrist will then perform an examination, explain the findings, and provide appropriate treatment when possible. For patients participating in the Community Care Program, the visit may also include educational recording as previously discussed and authorized.
One of the goals of the practice is to avoid the rushed feeling that many patients experience in traditional healthcare settings. We want patients and families to understand not only what we are doing, but why we are doing it. When a condition is likely to require additional or recurring care, we will also explain what type of follow-up should be considered so that the patient and caregiver can make an informed plan going forward.
